If your products offer multiple options for customers to choose from—such as fabric style, color, finish, nail trim, etc.—then you’ll want to use RepZio’s modifier functionality. Creating modifier menus is straightforward once you get the hang of it.
Product Modifiers Video Tutorial
Due to the complex nature of product modifiers, we recommend watching our Product Modifier Tutorial first.
Set Up Product Modifiers
Follow the steps and actions below to set up product modifiers.
Step 1
To get started, download the two spreadsheet templates:
-
Modifier List – Upload this first. This is where you define the details of your modifiers, such as menu names, color names, prices, and so on.
-
Product Modifiers – Upload this second. This spreadsheet links your defined modifiers to specific products.
🔹 Note: Your main product must already be in the system before starting this process.
Let’s walk through creating a simple modifier menu called “Choose a Color.”
Modifier List Spreadsheet
Here's what each column is used for:
- Modifier List Name: The name of the modifier menu (e.g., Choose a Color).
- Modifier List Key: A code that links the modifier to a product later on (e.g., Color1). This is what you'll use in the Product Modifiers spreadsheet.
- Modifier ItemID: Your internal SKU/ItemID for the specific option (e.g., R-10 for a red color swatch). This value appears in the final ItemID of the product.
- Modifier Item Name: The customer-facing name of the option (e.g., Red). This is what users will see in the app.
- Price: Enter any price adjustments here. For example, if the finish adds $30, enter 30. If it reduces the price, enter a negative number (e.g., -30).
- PhotoName: The name of the image file associated with the modifier.
-
IsDeleted: Controls whether the modifier is visible in the app.
- Enter FALSE to show it in the app.
- Enter TRUE to hide it.
Product Modifiers Spreadsheet
This is where you attach modifiers to your products:
Step 2
Using the Modifier List Key, enter the same key you used in the Modifier List spreadsheet (e.g., Color1).
Step 3
Enter the product’s ItemID to which you want to assign the modifier.
Example
Now that we have the basic functions of the Modifier List and Product Modifiers spreadsheets covered, let’s create some modifiers!
Let’s say you have:
-
An armchair available in Red, Blue, and Yellow
-
A sofa with the same three colors
-
A loveseat available in only Red and Blue
Here’s how to handle it:
-
The armchair and sofa can share the same Modifier List Key (e.g., Color1), since they use the same options.
-
The loveseat requires a unique Modifier List Key (e.g., Color2)—even if the color names are the same—because its options are different.
Now let’s assume that you have a sofa with the same color options, and for the sake of clarity, let’s add a loveseat that only comes in two colors:
Since the sofa and the armchair have the same color options, then they would have the same Modifier List Key attached to them. However, since the loveseat only has two color options—even if those options are identical to those offered with other furniture—it would still require its own unique Modifier List Key.
This is what the Product Modifier Template will look once completed following the directions above:
Uploading to WebManager
Once your spreadsheets are complete, upload them:
Step 4
-
Log in to WebManager.
-
In the left navigation bar, go to Manage Data > Upload Data Sheets.
-
Upload your files:

-
-
Click the green Push Data Live button (top left).
Verifying Your Modifiers
To verify that your modifiers loaded correctly:

Search for the product in WebManager and check the Item Display section.
-
Open the product in the RepZio App to see the modifier menu.
