Any time you make a change to your data within the WebManager, such as changing prices, adding products, removing sales reps and so on, you will see the green “Push Data Live” button appear in the top left corner of the blue navigation menu. This acts as your publish button—once you’re finished with your editing, clicking on the Push Data Live button will send the new updates to your sales reps’ devices. The reps will see the new updates once they sync their devices, which can they can do simply by logging out of the RepZio App, and logging back in.
Push Live Button not highlighted green at the top? You can always push data live manually, even if the green “Push Data Live” button is not displayed in the top left corner of your screen. To push data live manually, simply click on the “Push Data Live” button located near the bottom of the navigation menu on the left side of your screen.
Please note that their device must be connected to the Internet (either by cellular or WiFi) in order for the sync to take place.
Avoid This Common Mistake
A common idea that a lot of new WebManagers have is that they must push data live every time they make a change, i.e. they add a new sales rep, and push data live. They change the prices for a couple of products and push data live. They rearrange the products in a category and push data live; you get the idea.
This methodology is not encouraged—in fact, you should avoid pushing data live multiple time in quick succession. This is because every time that you push data live, your sales reps have to sync to see that new data. If the sales rep experiences a bad sync—either because of a dropped internet connection, interference from other sources, etc—then they won’t be able to operate at 100% when using the App.
RepZio’s recommended practice for pushing data live is the following: make all of your changes first, then push data live. That way you will push all of the changes at once in one update, thereby reducing the risk of your sales reps experiencing a bad sync.
Congrats ! 🎉 Once the green modal appears at the top right, your data has been pushed live
