“Quick Edit Tags” is very similar in function to “Edit Customers” and “Products Quick Edit”. Quick Edit Tags offers a spreadsheet like interface with headers that are the same as the headers in the Tags template. To access this function, log into the WebManager, click on “Products”, then “Quick Edit Tags”.
This function will allow you to rapidly edit your tag’s details: Is Deleted affects whether the tag is active or not. “False” = active, “True” = inactive. Click under the Tag Name header to change the title of your tags. Tag Order is the order in which your tags are displayed in.
Display On governs where the tag will be displayed. If you want items with the corresponding to display only on iPad you would enter iPad in the DisplayOn field. B2B only would require you to enter B2B in the DisplayOn field. To display on both, enter ALL.
A description is a short explanation about your tag.
To edit your tags’ information, simply click on the cell that you wish to make changes in. For this example, let’s add a new description for the “Best Sellers” tag:
When you edit a cell, you will see a red triangle appear in the upper left corner of the cell. This symbol means that a change has been made to that cell. A red “Save Changes” button will also appear in the bottom left corner of your screen; make sure to click on this button in order to save your work.
You will need to Push Data Live in order to make your changes official.
What’s the fastest way to edit my tag info?
That depends on how much you need to edit. If you just need to change one or two bits of information, then Quick Edit Tags is the way to go. If you need to edit a large amount of tag info, then the Tags Template (link) spreadsheet will be your best shot.
