Unique circumstances may call for a sales representative to select a unique “Order Type” depending on the needs of the manufacturer. An order type can give your sales representatives a selection of “Order Types” created by the manufacturer. This setting is a great one to make note of if your team ever requires a quick way to organize orders for unique use cases.
Where to find “Order Types” in WebManager
First, log in to WebManager → Next, scroll down to settings → Next, select Global settings → Next, select the 'Text Inputs' option → Order Types are the first setting on that page.
What can I customize the “Order Type” setting with?
The default order type settings are: Accept,Hold,Quote,Credit,Inventory,Void,Test,B2B. Notice how the next order type listed has a comma placed in front of it without any spaces. For example, if you wish to customize an order type for a vendor as “GYM101”, you can add that order type next to the others. All that is needed for this to show is to add it after the last order type, with a comma, and no spaces. Do not forget to save changes and push data live.
Why would I want to customize or add another order type?
The beauty of this setting is there is no requirement for custom order types. If the default order types work for you and your manufacturer, no changes are needed. There have been user cases where a manufacturer would like to organize orders by the vendor. This manufacturer wanted a quick way for their sales representatives to show which vendor they were writing the order for. Therefore, the WebManager Admin for this use case decided to create 3 unique order types for each vendor.
Where is the order type found on the iPad?
First, the sales representative would need to log into the RepZio app → Next, the sales rep would either create a new order for a customer or go into an open order for a customer → Next, below the customer and manufacturer information, you will see a button/drop down option for 'Order Type'. If more options have been added from the manufacturer's WebManager, they can then select the order type best for that current order.
If a sales rep is stating that they cannot view the new order types, please confirm that they have logged out of the app to have their iPad sync up to the latest changes.
