A shipping surcharge is an additional fee paid by the buyer to cover extra costs such as tariffs, fuel adjustments, oversized shipments, and deliveries to rural areas. Custom surcharges allow you to tailor additional fees to fit your business model and cost structure.
Set up Custom Surcharges
To setup, you'll first need to determine which UDF field for the system to use to apply the surcharge.
Step 1
Enter the surcharge amount in the UDF field and upload your product file accordingly. The UDF field must contain a dollar amount.
Step 2
Once the data is populated in the system, navigate to WebManager > Settings > Surcharges.
Step 3
- Enter the name for the surcharge (e.g. "Shipping Fee" or "Additional Shipping Fees", etc.)
- Select the appropriate UDF field from the dropdown menu
Step 4
Click 'Add' to apply the surcharge. Surcharges will calculate automatically and be displayed on the order submission screen.
Step 5
Sales reps must remove any item(s) with a surcharge from open carts, then log out + in to re-sync.
Surcharges in the App
Surcharges appear on the order screen and in order confirmation emails. To see the surcharge amount, scroll to the very bottom of the screen.
Prior to Order Submission
After Order Submission
