Organising your products into categories enhances the shopping experience for both sales reps and customers. Categories help create structure, improve product discoverability, and influence purchasing decisions by grouping similar items together—for example, 🍇 Fruits and 🥦 Vegetables, or 🛋️ Floor Lamps and 🕯️ Table Lamps.
Categories are more than just organizational—they’re a powerful marketing tool that highlights key product lines and boosts brand visibility.
🔹 Note: Any changes made in WebManager will also apply to RepZio, B2B Direct, and ShopZio.

❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQS)
Q. Can I manage categories using a spreadsheet template?
A. Yes! Use the Import Products Template. In the Category column, assign each product to a category.
Q. What happens if I forget to assign a category?
A. Products without a category will appear in Uncategorised and won’t display in RepZio, B2B Direct, or ShopZio until properly categorised.
Q. Can a product be in more than one category?
A. Yes, assigning products to multiple categories boosts visibility and discoverability.
Q. How do I create a new category?
A. Use the Manage Categories section to add one. Don’t forget to assign at least one product so the category stays visible after pushing data live.
Q. Why did my category disappear?
A. Categories with no products assigned will be hidden after data is pushed live. Add at least one product—temporary or permanent—to keep it active.
Q. Can I rename a category?
A. Yes. Select the category in Manage Categories and choose the rename option. Be sure to save your changes.
Q. Will removing a product from a category delete it?
A. No. It only removes the product from that category. The item stays active and visible in any other categories it belongs to.
Q. Can I undo a saved change?
A. There is no "undo" button. However, you can manually reassign the product to its original category.
Q. Can I restrict what categories sales reps are able to see?
A. No, category visibility cannot be restricted. Once a category is created, it will be visible to all sales reps.
Q. Why does my item show in an old category as well as the new category?
A. If an item appears in both an old (or incorrect) category and the new one, it’s likely because the product or category file you uploaded included only the new category.
To fully move an item from one category to another, follow these steps:
-
Upload a product or category file that lists the item with the old category and "True" in the IsDeleted column.
-
Then, upload the item again with the new category and "False" in the IsDeleted column.
This two-step process removes the item from the old category and adds it to the new one.
🔹 Note:
-
If you're using a product template, you must upload two separate files—one with the old category (IsDeleted = True) and one with the new category (IsDeleted = False)—since product files do not allow duplicate ItemIDs.
-
To streamline the process, you can use the ANDMORE_import_productcategories template, which allows you to list the same ItemID twice in the same file:
-
Once with the old category and IsDeleted = True
-
Once with the new category and IsDeleted = False
-
