Products Quick Edit offers a grid-style interface that lets administrators quickly update most product details directly in WebManager.
πΉ Note: Once an ItemID has been created in the system, it cannot be edited. Before uploading a data file or manually creating new products, ensure the ItemID is accurate.
πΉ Note: Product categories cannot be edited within the grid view. To change a product's category, click the ItemID hyperlink to open the Product Details page, then click the Edit Options button.
How to Edit Product Details
While it's generally recommended to use the Import Products Template for structured and consistent updates, you can also make changes directly within WebManager.
Follow the steps below to edit product details using Products Quick Edit:
Step 1: In the grid view, click directly into the cell you want to update and enter the new value.
Alternatively, click the ItemID hyperlink to open the Product Details screen, then click the Edit Options button.
Step 2: After making your updates, click Save Changes.
πΉ Note: If the product includes HTML content, you may briefly see a Cloudflare security message while saving. This is normal behaviour. The message should disappear quickly, followed by a prompt to Push Data Live. If you're unable to save in the grid view, use the Product Details screen instead.
Step 3: After saving, click Push Data Live to publish your changes to the app.
β FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQS)
Q. Why canβt I edit the ItemID in the grid view?
A. The ItemID is a unique identifier used across the system and cannot be modified. If itβs incorrect, delete the product and recreate it with the correct ItemID.
Q. What should I do if I see a Cloudflare message while saving changes?
A. This is a normal security check that may appear when editing products with HTML content. It should disappear quickly and prompt you to Push Data Live. If issues persist, try editing through the Product Details screen.
Q. Do I need to Push Data Live every time I make changes?
A. Yes. Saving in WebManager does not update the live environment. Always click Push Data Live to apply your changes to the app or marketplace.
Q. Can I bulk-edit products using Products Quick Edit?
A. Products Quick Edit is best for individual updates. For bulk changes, use the Import Products Template for a more structured update process.
