๐ Data Validation helps you control what information must be entered when creating customers and/or placing orders. โ
With just a few clicks, you can customise the experience by requiring specific fields to be filled out before a customer can be saved or an order can be submitted.
โ๏ธ How It Works
Data Validation settings allow you to require key fields during customer creation or order submission.
Step 1
Go to WebManager > Settings > Data Validation
Step 2
Toggle the checkboxes next to the data fields you want to require (e.g., email address, phone number, billing info)
Step 3
Sales Reps will now be prompted to enter this information before completing a customer profile or submitting an order.

โ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQS)
Q. What happens if a sales rep tries to submit an order without completing the required fields?
A. The system will display a prompt indicating which required fields are missing. The rep must complete all required fields before the customer or order can be saved or submitted.
Q. Can we make certain fields required for customer creation, but not for order submission (or vice versa)?
A. Yes, data validation settings are divided into two sectionsโcustomer and order. You can independently configure which fields are required for each action.
Q. Will these changes apply to all users across the company?
A. Yes, data validation settings are global and apply to all users creating customers or placing orders.
Q. Do sales reps need to update their app after these settings are changed?
A. No app update is required, but they should sync their data to ensure the latest validation rules are applied. We recommend logging out and back in or tapping โRefresh Dataโ after settings are updated.
Q. Can we change the required fields later if our needs change?
A. Yes, you can revisit the data validation settings at any time to update which fields are required.
Q. What if we want fewer required fields to speed up the process?
A. Youโre in controlโsimply uncheck any unnecessary fields. Keep in mind, though, that requiring key contact and address details helps prevent errors and improves the customer experience down the line.
Q. Are these requirements enforced on the WebManager side as well?
A. No, data validation only applies to customer creation and order submission within the RepZio iPad app. Orders or customers created directly in WebManager are not restricted by these rules. However, it is recommended to capture as much information as possible.
